Join us for A Night Under the Stars, a whimsical evening celebrating the release of one of the year’s most anticipated fantasy books.

In collaboration with Birdie + Co Events, we’re creating a cozy, bookish night filled with stars, dreamy decor, sweet treats, themed drinks, and plenty of time to mingle with fellow readers.

This isn’t a class and there are no step-by-step instructions. It’s a bookish painting experience—a night to gather, talk about books, celebrate a new release, and make something beautiful along the way.

Bring your new book to celebrate the release, or bring a favorite from your own bookshelf. You can paint the edges of any book you’d like. Your book doesn’t have to be new or connected to the evening’s inspiration.

We’ll have a book-edge painting station where you can create at your own pace, along with a cozy floor picnic setup where we can gather, enjoy treats and drinks, and talk about books, fantasy, romance, the new release, or whatever else comes up.

Move between the two spaces throughout the evening—paint for a while, grab a treat, settle into the picnic, meet another reader, and enjoy the night.

🌙 Dress for the occasion:

This is a themed party, so feel free to dress up and lean into the fantasy! Think celestial, romantic, whimsical, magical, or simply your favorite bookish look. Dressing up is completely optional—come as you are or come ready to step into another world for the evening.

🍷 Bring your own beverage:

Wine and other beverages are welcome! Bring your favorite drink to enjoy throughout the evening.

What to bring:

One book you’d like to paint. It can be your brand-new release, a longtime favorite, or simply a book you’ve been wanting to give a little something extra. We recommend choosing a book with sturdy, relatively smooth edges and one you’re comfortable painting.

No painting experience is necessary. Come ready to embrace the whimsical world of fantasy and reading, celebrate a new release, and spend a night making art with fellow book lovers.
